BOMBANANA! — How to Invite Friends and Use Room Codes

Two official ways in, both confirmed by Lefto Studio.

Room codes

You get a short code for your lobby and share it with your two players. They enter it and join.

The important part, in the studio's own words: players can join "through the Server Browser or room codes without needing to add each other as Steam friends first." So you can play with someone you met five minutes ago in a Discord channel.

This is what "bombanana codes" means. A lot of people search that term expecting redeem codes for rewards. This game has no redeem-code system — the codes are lobby codes.

Global Lobby Browser

Browse public lobbies and join one. Useful when you are short a player, which with a hard three-player requirement happens often.

When people cannot join

"Can't join / create lobby" is an active thread in the official Discord's bug report forum, so if it happens to you, you are not alone and it is a known issue rather than something you configured wrong.

Things worth checking first:

• All three of you on the same game version — a hotfix (v1.0.1) shipped the day after launch
• Broadband connection: the game lists one as a minimum requirement on both Windows and Mac
• Try a room code instead of the browser, or the other way round

To be confirmed: whether there is a friends-list invite flow inside Steam in addition to room codes. We have not confirmed it from an official source.

If it persists, the studio asks people to post in the Discord bug-report forum rather than emailing.
